Ok so I went to make chili this morning in the crock pot and have ruined it. The meat I put in was frozen but I thought since it was going in the crock it would be ok however after putting in the rest of the ingredients (toms, beans, onion, spices, etc.) it has become very mushy and does not look or taste like chili.

Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone have any ideas for salvaging this?

Thanks much!

The meat has to be browned before going into the crock pot or else you'll end up with mush. I learned this the hard way. I don't think there's any way to salvage what you now have. Just chalk it up to experience.
Good luck.

add more tomato, blitz it up and use it as a pizza topping instead of the tom sauce, baggy the rest in pizza size topping portions and freeze it for next time :)

I think it's supposed to be chili - not a spaghetti/tomato sauce.
