Chilly is something I've never made before and never liked it untill I tasted some from this one place that was exelent. Hope to learn to make some one day.

Goodweed, you said the winner is generally soupy and mild. And, I would assume yours is fiery and bold!

So, the question is this....do you want to win or simply to compete with your very best?
If winning is your quest, cook for your audience. If doing your very best, and creating the hottest and most awesome chili on the planet is your goal, keep on keepin' on.

Either way, you are a winner!

Ok, so now I've gone and done it. I can't talk bad about the judges anymore. I departed from the norm and made a very flavorful, but not hot, white chili. And you just aren't going to believe this, but I won my category! There was no one more suprised than me.
