I've eaten this salad at a local Chinese restaurant and it was very delicious. The only ingredients were the beetroot and the carrot with some kind of sauce. I would really like to make this at home, but have no clue what kind of dressing its used.

Anyone? Help.

Welcome to DC Emi!! Without having been to your local Chinese, I am unsure what they used. Can you describe the flavours? Possibly soy, ginger and garlic or several Japanese restaurants here dress their salads with oil, garlic and a vinegar that I can't quite place. Not quite Western but almost. Just a lot tastier!!

Might just want to ask your Chinese restaurant what is in their dressing!

Thank you for the reply Bilby. I am not quite sure what taste it was. It had different flavors. Soy sauce was one of them for sure.

You are right. I should probably ask the chef at the restaurant. Maybe he'll share his/her secret with me:).

Thank you once again.

The secret is to tell the waiter that you are allergick and that is why you need to know ingreedients.

You are right, that should work. Thanks ;) I'll try next time I go there.
