ISO help duplicating a recipe for garlic mushrooms

i have just returned from holiday in cyprus where i had garlic mushrooms but they were in a ceamy sauce which i was told was made with ox tail soup and some other ingredients anyone shine any light on the recipe

Trying to be logical, if the soup is the base, then it can be reduced to make a sauce and heavy cream added to it.
