Jerk seasoning contains a whole boatload of different spices, primarily allspice.

I am always worried about food allergies, etc. but that probably isn't a huge concern here.

an interesting point jenny. are there allergies to any specific spices?

i know there's gastrointestinal effects from some, and other genetic differences which cause various reactions to taste, such as with cilantro, but are there actual immunological reactions to certain spices?

with the exception of the old gag of sniffing black pepper, achoo, can spices cause histamine release?
