Need a "Chili Sauce" recipe please!

I want to try jkaths recipe....but would prefer to use a real home-made chili sauce. Any recipes?

Do you mean chili sauce, as in a tomato-based sauce like Heinz ?

Or a chile-based sauce like a sambal?

If I am not mistaken it is for jkath's chicken scampi right kaylinda? So I think that was the tomato based sauce.

Yes, probably.

Maybe jkath can share a recipe. Chili sauce is something I just buy, like ketchup. I like Bennett's the best.

Don't have a recipe but here is the ingredient list from an ad. Gives you an idea of what it is.

"Homade Chili Sauce - Use instead of ketchup - TEN 12oz Jars

Yes...HOMADE...that's the brand name. Thick, Chunky and Sweet. Whoa, this is good "Stuff". You'll never use ketchup or regular ol' salsa again!

Ingredients: Tomatoes, Sugar, Water, Dextrose, Distilled Vinegar, Salt, Green and Red Bell Peppers, Onion, Sesame Seeds, Spices, Natural Flavor."
