I made way too much cheese sauce last night for broccoli...its a basic white sauce with Velveta added.

Ideas? I don't want it to go to waste. Thanks!

Serve it on tonight's vegetables.

Add some more velveeta and salsa and use it as a dip.

I was thinking about the mac and cheese, or for baked taters....

Salsa is a good idea, Andy.

You can add it to any recipe that calls for cheese and milk. You can add some chickens broth, saute some onions celery carrots and dump in the sauce with some seasoned salt and some pepper for a nice cheese soup.

Wait, I am confused... I understand the words "extra" and "cheese sauce", but what are they doing in the same sentence?

Spread on garlic bread and place under the broiler.

LOL, Cherry. There wouldn't be any leftover cheese here either.

Chili Cheese Fries

Chili Cheese Hot Dog

(I'm craving Tommy's 'about now )

Pour the sauce over stuffed peppers

Over cauliflower (dipped in egg & rolled in breadcrumbs)

A baked tater stuffed w broc & bacon & onions & cheese

Loaded potato skins

Pour it over Meatloaf

Serve over English muffins, sorta a Welsh rarebit. Could toss on some bacon. Yumm.

Or a poor man eggs Benedict. Take an English muffin, put on some ham if you have it, or bacon, cover with a poached (or fried) egg and cover with the cheese sauce.

Or what do you have lurking in your fridge? It would go great over chicken or turkey. Or if you have some frozen French fries cook and put it over that. Cheese sauce will go with almost anything.

Make Philadelphia steak cheese sandwiches.

The dip idea is great. Add some mustard and hot sauce and a bit of Worcestershire.

I think I would go for the Welsh rarebit right now, sounds good to me.

Welsh Rarebit was where my mind was going too Aunt Dot.

Also any mornay of seafood you fancy. (lobster or oysters - yummy!!)

Any vegetable au gratin-ed. (potato or asparagus would be my preferences)

Over corn chips for nachos

Moussaka

Lasagne or meat canneloni

Over a piece of chicken and serve with sliced tomatoes for a parmigiana styled meal. Or use ham instead of tomatoes for a cordon bleu styled-meal.

oh man. two words: pearl onions.

nuttin' better than little sweet onions in creamy cheese sauce.

I would use it for biscuits and gravy, hubby likes it. Sometimes I add some breakfat sausage to it .

The extra cheese sauce is good in a broccoli casserole. I sometimes make extra just for that.
