This is the dipping sauce I make to go with crab cakes.

This is a little spicy -

1/2 packet of Chili-O brand chili seasoning mix
1 C sour cream
1/2 C mayo

stir it all together. Add more of the Chili-O if you want it more heat.

I'm not a big fan of, nor do I normally use, condiments with crab cakes.

When I do, it's either just a few dashes of hot pepper sauce & a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime, a nice homemade tartar sauce, or a remoulade.

horseradish cream sauce

not sure if this would be good if the cakes are cajun, but
i love it on the crab cakes i make it is very simple too

melt a bit of butter in a sauce pad add some shallots

then 1 cup of heavy cream
horseradish to taste. i normaly will add 1/4 cup we love horseradish

cook until thick

we love this sauce

Crab has a delicate flavor which you do not want to loose in the sauce. I would suggest either a tartare or a aioli, and enjoy. A wedge of lime would not go astray either!
