Stock is a basic preperation consiting of bones and vegetables or just vegetables, and is used in the preperation of soups and sauces.

A broth is a soup made from stock with the addition of meat and vegetables, or just veg...

yes, and tomatoes really help, I forgot them once

we have a duck consomme at work, we serve it with two handmade duck confit raviolis in the consomme. hmmm goood!

All it needs is a little salt.... pepper.... mustard, catchup, sauce, flavour. -- Trapper
