Hi Kris -- I'm brand new at this site, so bear with me. This is just too funny -- I bought a Gehring 6 inch chef's knife at an outlet store a couple of days ago. Great price and it was pretty cool lookin' -- and so, knife junkie that I am, I had to buy it. I too had never heard of Gehring before, so I did a google seach and it brought me to this website. It really is a nice knife however the top (blunt) edge of the knife is very wide and as a consequence it won't fit in my storage block. Maybe THAT's why they're so cheap!
