BBQ Sauce Recipe

I am having a huge BBQ with a bunch of my friends this weekend, and we wanted to do everything homemade. I was wondering if anyone has a really good bbq sauce recipe that would be good on chicken.

Thanks!

I did an advanced search and came up with these that might be worth going through. I'm going through them myself now!

I came up with this recipe a couple of yeas ago to go with my pulled pork.

Barbecue Sauce

1 C Cider Vinegar

1 C Ketchup
1/2 C Dark Brown Sugar
1 Tb Yellow Mustard
1 Tb Molasses
1 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
1/2 Tb Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 tsp Cumin
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
1/2 Tb Bite Me Hot Sauce

Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

andy,

is your bbq sauce really spicy?
some of my friends, including myself, can't take really spicy sauces.

Spicy is sort of relative. There is some heat to it but not a lot according to my tastes. You could cut down on the red pepper flakes if you like.

That BBQ sauce sounds TASTY! I also put a tiny pinch of cinnamon in BBQ sauce as well as sauteed onions and peppers chopped really small as well as freshly chopped, also really small, Jalapenos.
