I have a couple of recipe that I want to try and they call for cajun seasoning and then one with creole seasoning.
Are they the same thing or is there a difference between them.
I was told that it depends on your location in the south.
Being from the North We would just call it Southern Cooking - which I love.
I apologize in advance if I offend anyone.

There may be some minor differences. In fact, there are differences from brand to brand for either one.

Emeril's Original Essence is creole seasoning. There are other brands as well. I'd pick one and give it a try.

We like Emeril's Essences. Bayou Blast is the one we use most, although he has a good Southwest Seasoning that's good too. We make it ourselves, in large batches so we always have it on hand.
We also like Tony Chacherie's, which tastes a bit different...saltier, mainly.
