Flavored sugar
I also make flavored sugar using fruit oils and Monin syrup. I use the flavored sugar in my coffee if I have an urge for flavored coffee. I have Amaretto sugar, Cherry Sugar, Toasted Almond Mocha sugar among a few . You can also use the flavored sugar in oatmeal , making ice cream, whatever else you use sugar. I think you can use Splenda too tho I haven't tried it for flavorings. I mix up the sugar and oil in the mini food processor. If you don't have a processor , you probably could just put some sugar and the oil in a plastic bag and shake it up.

I make flavored simple syrups for drinks. My favorite is mint symple syrup that I use for iced tea and mojitos during the summer.

I don't make any flavored sugars per se, but, I had a nice large crystal sugar on a marguarita (raspberry) at Chili's. I think it was vanilla, it was good. Yum!

I also store vanilla pods in sugar to make homemade vanilla sugar.

How long will flavored sugars last? I'm always looking for gift ideas ...

As long as regular sugar lasts.

Thank you GB! I wasn't sure of the flavoring would limit it's life.
