Gas Oven Cleaning Question

Soon to purchase a high end (Wolf) oven. Most electric ovens have a Clean feature but notice that the gas counterpart does not. What gives ????? Also does anyone know or have used the fabric blanket that can be placed at the bottom of the oven that catches spills and is it affected by the fan of the convection oven????

Many Thanks

Bob J

I have a gas oven with a self-cleaning function on a GE stove. If Wolf doesn't offer it, it's a choice they make not a lack of technology.

Our Whirlpool gas oven has a self-clean option and it seems to work pretty well. I have to sweep out the ashes when it's done but it even got peach pie filling off the bottom.

Sorry, I don't know anything about the oven blanket you are refering too ...
