yes it is upright to use as well as storing it .

I should have waited a year! lol I gave my dd my other one because I wanted the upright for the room on my counter. Oh well, I still love mine.

Congratulations!!! I want the V2860, too! It's on my Christmas list...only I don't think anyone is reading that list but me! I was just in Kitchen Collections drooling over it this past Saturday.

I'm in love with my new KA mixer, Miss Moxie! (that's her in my avatar )
