Handi Vac motor unit.

I have had my Handi Vac for about 4 months now. When I first got it, I loved it. It sealed as well as my food saver and much more convenient to use.

As of late, I have been having difficulty getting the bags evacuated. At first, I thought that it was the batteries and I changed them - No Help.

Then I thought that I might be holding it wrong. Finally I tried getting a vacuum on the back of my hand. When I first got the unit it would quickly pull a vacuum and stall the motor. Great vacuum. Now the morot just runs and runs. Something internal is wrong with the vacuum unit.

Do they only work for a few months and have to be replaced? Is there a maintenance procedure.

Is anyone else seeing this? any input would be appreciated.

I don't know, Adillo. Do you still have the paperwork that came with it? I have mine, but I'm not where I can get to it.

I've had my HandiVac for about 2 years, use it a lot and still haven't replaced the batteries. It still works like it did the day I used it for the first time.

I got a box of defective bags, it could be that. I know it sounds odd but it could be the bags and not the unit.
