K/A Stand Mixer

My K/A stand mixer won't go past the 4th speed.
I was just whipping up cooked potatoes for Twiced baked. I had it on full speed 8, was watching it.The mixer started slowly gearing down. I didn't do it.Now it won't go past the 4th setting.I've checked the book troubleshooting found nothing. It's less than 2 years old.

Any ideas?
Thanks
Munky.

I'm with luvs. Time to talk to customer service/tech support.

Sounds like a gear-box problem. Call tech support.

Thanks all,I'll give them a call tomorrow.
Now I know what specifically to call it.Doubt that "Dohickythingamajig" terminology would fly with techs..

Munky :)

Actually, all you have to do is to describe the situation as you did here. Seems pretty straight forward. Hope you get some resolution.

I love my KA stuff - and one of the biggest drawcards for me buying that brand is because their customer support is awesome.

Let us know how it works out?
