We have a electrice Kenmore oven that is less than a year old and it burns almost anything you bake in it. When you bake cakes, cookies, and breads it will burn them on the outside and they will be runny and raw on the inside even if you turn the oven temp. down. We bought an oven thermometer and it says that it is the correct temp, but still almost everything is raw in the middle and burned on the outside. Any suggestion would be greatly appreicated.

Thanks

Welcome to DC.

I would call for service and ask them to calibrate the oven temperature. Since the oven is under warranty, it should be free.

If you are using long-time recipes and the same pans that always worked with the previous oven and now they are burning, the oven is the problem.

If this is not the case, there can more than one variable.

Omigosh! Definitely contact the source of purchase. This doesn't seem right, especially if you've checked the temperature with a thermometer. Something's definitely wrong and should be corrected.

Let us know how things turn out.

If it was me, it would have been handed right back to them immediately.

And since it is less than a year old, the warranty should still be valid. Most major appliances are warranted at least a year.
