I'm looking for a toaster oven, too. But what I really really want is a Turbo Chef (convection oven model without microwave). Heh, heh...dream on.

Can any of these small toaster ovens be used to heat frozen entrees like Lean Cuisine, Stouffer's, etc...? I see warnings on the boxes against using them in a toaster oven and am wondering if that is just over kill by the food company.

AB, I'm pretty sure it's because many frozen dinners come in plastic containers now instead of foil. In a toaster oven, they are too close to the heating element whereas in a regular oven, there is lots more room surrounding the dinners.

As Cheryl said, it's the proximity to the heating element. You can transfer the food to a safe container and use a TO.
