Hi Everybody,,, looking for a FREE software program that will allow me to add my own recipes as well as pictures, and turn it into a cookbook for my beautiful daughter and niece.. Any suggestions? I have recipecenter 6.0 and blurb, but kinda looking to do it on my own...

I'm not aware of such a tool even for pay. You'd be better served with a word processor as it gives you finer control for page layout, text management and more.

Word will do the job though if you want a competent bit of freeware, OpenOffice is very good. Microsoft has templates for recipes you may find useful or tweak them further. Recipes - Templates - Microsoft Office

If you want even more control,, Kword is a fantastic bit of software though it needs a couple of extra bits to run in Windows. It's native environment is KDE in Linux. It has very fine controls and features but is probably overkill. If you don't know much about page layout, you might get lost in Kword.
