Anyone have any tips or gadgets for getting corn off of the cob? I usually just use a knife, but wondering if anyone has a better method?
Thanks

I use a knife and a bundt pan. Place the corn on top of the funnel of the bundt pan, usinfg the knife remove the kernels, the pan will catch them all. I have a gadget that wasn't very expensive, it is suposed to adjust to the different thickness of the cob but it really doesn"t work that great.

Is something like this what you're talking about, Nyeer?

My grandma had one something like the one Uncle Bob posted.

I'm cheap ... I just use a good sharp knife. I'll have to try that bundt pan idea ...

Now, for creamed corn ... this has to be the ultimate tool:

Yes Michael, that's the one I have in the bottom of my kitchen drawer.
I loved your tool to cream corn :) Where did you get that?

Nyeer, I found that little gizmo at Lee's ... watch the video, they have a corn cutter that looks just like the creamer but is basically just a larger diameter piece of PVC pipe with the corn cutter you have mounted in it.

I can just see Alton Brown playing with one of these ...

That's gotta be one of the coolest tools I've ever seen!!! And I have to admit, also one of the quirkiest one! Oh you are right, Alton Brown would just love this one! Thanks for showing me that Michael!
