Thanks! Easy to clean is always a plus. And I imagine that it is less likely to harbor growth than other kinds of materials. I will definitely keep my eye out for it.

I have been a bit leery of silicon because it feels so floppy to me. Coming from a cast iron background, the less than rigid material has made me nervous. However, I see more and more things made from silicon. The colors and the lightweight factors added with the versatility make it very appealing to me.
 
Kathleen, I also love my silicone basting/pastry brush for the ease of cleaning...I never believed my bristle one was really clean, and no problem with silicone....look at this....

I have a basting brush and agree: The bristle one never seemed clean and the silicone one feels clean when it is washed. Also, mine does a great job. :chef:
