And don't forget a food mill makes wonderful applesauce!!!!

Pressing spinach!!!!! I need this - I keep breaking mesh strainers and it's too hard on my hands to squeeze - ahhhhhh - a legitimate reason for another kitchen gadget!

I was asking because I have a food mill, and I saw a potato ricer that said "take me home" and I needed to know,whether I should get it.

I agree, the food mill is the way to go. I looked for one all over town this fall with no luck. Will have one for sure next fall for canning.
