I have a Food Saver and use it primarily for meat. I was thinking of using it for kale. When I buy it it comes in such a big bag. Since I'm the only one who eats it (I braise it) it sometimes goes bad before I use it all, or I have to eat it every day. I decided to put it in Food Saver Bags. Will this keep it fresh longer in the refrigerator or should I put it in the freezer?

Another vote for freezing the cooked kale.

I freeze it in one cup containers and toss it into soups or thaw it and use it in scrambled eggs.

+4. My thought is braise the whole shebang, squeeze dry, then Food Saver.

You could blanch it so it shrinks down and freeze it in Ziplocks.

cook then freeze in serving sizes... ya know, I never thought about using the Food Saver for veg before, I just do the IQF technique and then into a ziptop bag.

I love it when I'm the first responder and everyone that follows agrees with me.
