Hand crank cold cut slicer

I inherited a hand crank meat slicer from my mum. I thought it was the one I had used when I lived in Copenhagen, but it isn't. It doesn't slice cold cuts nicely. It looks like this is due to poor design.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a hand crank cold cut slicer? It's easy to find electric ones, but they scare me. I really would prefer a manual one.

One of these would be fun to own but I'm not sure about cleaning it or paying for it.

I had one very similar to these .. I stopped using it as I was not sure about the chipping paint. Plus it was difficult to use as there was no clamp to fasten it to table or counter and I obviously didn't have the smarts to put one on.

I have no idea what I've done with it. I'd love to have it on display in my kitchen.

That would be fun. But, oh my, that thing is complex. Yeah, cleaning and assembling - disassembling sounds like a nightmare.

I found a picture of mine. I think the one I have is the one I used to use. It's just missing two parts and I can't see the scale for thickness. It might be under some gunge. I found a picture of one like mine, and yes, mine is the same colour. I'm missing the thing to attach it to a table and the folding platform.

That thing weighs 143 pounds, and costs $3,700!!!!

But, it does have a one-year "limited" warranty.
