You can actually use tongs for many things. We all know the obivous use, but if you hold a small set of tongs at the end (where the tongs close) you can actually use them to remove the seeds on small squashs such as yellow or zucchini. They also work great on removing seeds from peeled cantaloupe and honeydew melons.
