Jar opener

I broke the tool that I was using to open jar when they are closed too hard to open.What I had was rubber circle string to put around the jar top and twist it but the string got tore up from too much usage.

Since then,when I cannot open can with my strength,I call my husband to open the jar. I have visited kitchen store to see what option I have but I did not find the same one I was using and was not sure what works best so,I thought I would ask here.

What brand of jar opener do you recommend?

I have a kind of soft rubber mat, about 6" x 6", I guess. It's not a lot of extra leverage, you just place it over the lid to give a more secure grip without slipping. It has a magnet in it, so it hangs on the fridge.

I have the Pampered Chef one. You can mount it under your cabinet or just use it without doing that.

i bang it on the counter, if that fails, run hot water on it. lol
