Which model did you get Ross?

I bought the
Instant Pot DUO60 6 Qt 7-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker, Steamer, Sauté, Yogurt Maker and Warmer..$85.95 and free shipping..

I was going to leave the link to it but, it brings up my account, etc., and I didn't think that was necessary.. sorry for caps.. Only way it would copy and paste..

Ross :)

I saw that beauty too!
Not sure about it yet though ...
What will be your first creation in your new toy Ross?

It will be here Friday.. The kids are spending the night at their fave casino so, I will try a take on poaching eggs, from a blogger I like.. I love poached eggs and this will be an experiment.. :yum:

First real meal in it will be either babyback or boneless ribs, Sunday night.. 2 of my SIL's favorite meals..

Tarnation! but look how much I would have saved using your account!
:LOL::LOL:

Thanks for not mentioning the Amazon "daily deal" until the day after, Ross. I do not need any more kitchen stuff at the moment...

Heads to Amazon just to look around. :ermm:

I'm sorry... :( but... I wasn't considering "need"... Getting rid of all my stuff before moving here, made me realize that I really don't "need" a lot of things..

I didn't realize that it was only available for a short period of time.. Glad I saw it in time to purchase one...

If that's an apology, Ross, no need to apologize. ;) I really am holding off on getting one of those all-in-one cookers (not necessarily "Instant Pot") until we move back home. It's one of many carrots I keep dangling in front of myself to motivate me to get this place cleaned out, tidied up, and up for sale. So far, it ain't working so good. Maybe I need to dangle cherries or nectarines...

My neighborhood's monthly cocktail party started last month. I was googling around for something new to bring and came upon a recipe for mini cheesecake bites. Mmmmm, says I, a nice cold bite of cheesecake would make a tasty treat. One recipe I found used a mini cheesecake pan! It's so adorable! With push-up bottoms and everything! [emoji38]

So I bought it and my goal this season is to make a different cheesecake recipe, along with a side dish, for the cocktail parties and probably for my book club, too. mini%20cheesecake%20pan.jpg

Yea! This is going on my wish list for my b’day (it’s coming up soon, July 18th). Where did you find this?

GG, that's really cool, and as you say it would make really nice and fun little goodies for your parties and book club get-togethers. The possibilities are endless! :)

No new 'kitchen candy' here lately - although Tyler and I have been going through cherries like crazy, and I'd love to have a cherry pitter. :) I did a search and OXO has one that I think would work just fine.

Thanks, Cheryl! I can see mini tarts, mini quiches, mini muffins... Lots of good stuff...

So cool GG..how does it work with the push up bottom..is the bottom silicone or sumpin'?
No, it's all metal. There is a little hole in the bottom of each cup and it came with a little metal disc that just fits inside. So once it's baked, you run a plastic knife around the edge to loosen the contents and push it out. Take a closer look at the picture.

The mail carrier played Santa today and dropped off my order of spices from The Spice House. I wasn't ordering much, so I wasn't going to get free shipping from either The Spice House or Penzeys; I checked the prices on both websites for what I was buying. I was surprised at the difference in prices. It took a bit of number juggling since one place may have offered a 2.8 ounce bag, while the other sold the same herb/spice in 4 ounce bags, but if my math is OK enough, it looks like the prices at The Spice House are low enough compared to Penzeys that my shipping was "free-ish". Since the quality of product is equal, it was no contest in where I shopped. ;)

Had I bothered to scroll down the page after the home page loaded, I would have found out I could have had free shipping (a $7.91 deal). *sigh* Spice House has a special offer right now: if you pick a spice gift for the crew of the USS Harry S. Truman, an aircraft carrier deployed in the Adriatic Sea, they will mail your order of spices to you for free! The least expensive gift box is $15, but if all you need is one or two little spice selections and you want to be nice to the Navy, it might be something you would be interested in.

Some of you know that when I moved to Missouri from Cali, I didn't bring small appliances from my kitchen.. Jeannie did save and ship our Ninja and I'm glad she did as, it serves more than one purpose..

One item I disposed of was my vac sealer. I'd used one for 20some years but found myself not using it as often as before..

Well, I soon found that I do need vac sealing now and then.. I wanted to seal some things but could not justify purchasing a standard sized one..

Checking kitchen items online, I came across a Food Saver Hand Held Sealer..

https://www.amazon.com/FoodSaver-FS...pID=31tolFWRb4L&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

Ive used it a half doz times, this past month and really like it.. Inexpensive, compact and seems to vacuum very well.. :)

Looks good JC. don't know why I didn't check more carefully on line while shopping for a vacuum sealer. I usually do.

Got the regular size sealer and I'm basically happy with it but think what you have probably would have been better for my needs.

Two complaints with the full size - is the huge use of excess & expensive plastic it takes to seal tight. A lesser complaint is the counter space it takes up in a limited counter spaced kitchen. Finally found a shelf for it but only with lots of shuffling.
