As an addition to my earlier post, I used the Puck immersion blender yesterday on a very large pot of home made tomato sauce (Tomatoes are in season here - they grow so many on the island that it's hard to find customers to ship to. The blender went through that 4 or 5 quarts of sauce in no time flat.

We bought a whole crate for about $12, made half into sauce, and today I'm in the process of making the rest into sundried tomatoes.
