Question What is this?

This came in a box of stuff from an estate sale and I think it might be a cooking gadget but I am not sure.
It is about 8" in overall length, Cone is 4" x 2" and made of stainless steel.
No name or markings on it.
Thanks Marty

Looks more like a veterinary surgical tool to me.

First thing I thought of was a medical toy.

But have been about medicine for 28 years and never saw anything like it..

Sorta looks like it could press a croquet or quinelle.

Just a wild guess.

But if it has anything to do with gynecology, I dont want to know about it.

Marty-23....Welcome to DC!

Maybe if you could investigate who the original owner was through the estate. That may give you some leads. Also were there other items in the box that may offer clues??

Then again. Hey Everybody!!! Let's play, Guess What's this a Photograph of???

Let the game begin....

My gut is telling me to has nothing to do with cooking, but who knows. I think it could make a pretty fun mold for things maybe.

okay uncle bob

where's clive (is that his name) when you need him?

this is a family heirloom, I have disproved what it is said to have been..Family lore has it as a native american storyteller and I am 100% sure it is NOT. Have had guesses it is South American, possibly from Peru. Does any one have any guesses what country/culture this is from? I have photos of other views of this creature if that would help. It may be very old.

Hi Beth. I don't know what that is, but it is very cool looking. For this thread though, I think we need to only concentrate on the OP's photo. Please feel free to start a new thread with your photo or post this in the "Guess What's this a Photograph of" thread.

I agree GB.....Not related to food, or used to shape something, but rather a tool to pick something up. Something hot maybe......
