I use my stainless ALL Clad griddle all the time over 2 burners. My only problem is that one of the burners is larger than the other. But I can deal withthat. It works fine.

I have used my cast iron LC grill pan (one burner) on stove. I hate the grill pan but it works fine.

Believe it or not, a great place to find cast iron cookware is in an antique shop. I have a couple pans that are well over 100 years old but as long as they're kept seasoned, they work great! Plus, you can find all sorts of old-school (and I mean OLD-school) cookware that can be pretty fun to use! :)
