So, i picked up a cast iron grill. The type that would cover two burners on your stove.... Anyhow, i used it for the first time today and everything stuck so bad to it. So much so that i almost don't want to use it again!. When i first got it, i washed it in soap and water, then i used canola oil and coated it. Threw it in the oven for 30 min at 350'. Then cooked with it. Obviously my problem is that i didnt season it properly. can anyone give me some good tips or suggestions how i can properly use this thing?? Thanks

That seems to ring a bell when I seasoned my Dutch oven years ago. Did you let it cool before you used it? I'm not sure if you need to, but I remember I did.

Yeah, it probably sat a good 2 hours before i used it. Is it possible i just used the wrong oil? Is canola oil no good?
