We burned ... terribly ... a pot of chili last night (yes, we're talking fire alarms). My husband thought the pot was trashed. I laughed this morning and started in on it (he'd already done the superficial cleaning). It took awhile, don't get me wrong. Over a few hours (put on metal polish, let it set, scrub, rinse, start again, inside and out). It is as good as new now. We joked. "this is the difference between being married to a XXX girl (my maiden name, we're an all-girl family and Mom was a clean freak) and anyone else. Most people would have thrown that sorry &*&#@ pot away. Honestly, people have called me, my sisters, and my mom from far away to get solutions to cleaning problems. How about we share cleaning problems and solutions. I am NOT a clean freak, neither are any of my sisters. But when you need a way to clean something, you know who to call.
