Do these look like ramekins?

ok bought these at a yard sale. Lady didnt' seem to know much about them. I asked if they could be put into the oven and she said yes. Would these be the same thing as ramkins? What kinds of things do people make with these?

They look like little crocks to me. Appropriate for French onion soup gratinee de[pending on size.

Ramekins usually don't have covers and are straight-sided.

You could also use them for individual pot pies or casseroles.

maybe used for individual servings of baked beans as well. i love them for onion soup as you said.

I agree with Andy M., for their design to be used for soups or stews. Ramekins have smooth or fluted sides in order to easily remove what is baked in them (individual cakes, puddings or molded foods).

Those look great. Mine seem a bit small as you can see in the picture, but i'm loving the ideas!!!
