I got a ricer, microplane..and onion goggles!

Yup, today I became a Man (hahahaha). I can rice potatos easily, zest to my heart's content, wearing the Onion Goggles, if I want to !

I do have the ricer and the invaluable microplane..........but I have been wondering how those onion goggles work?

I saw them on a PBS cooking show and got them for dd, who suffers when she cuts onions.
