Is your Instant Pot melting?

Saw this when scanning Cleveland news. It seems to be the "Gem 8-in-1" model that has this problem. The article lists the unit numbers that might experience this issue.

That model isn’t a pressure cooker. It’s an 8-1 Slow Cooker.

Whatever it is, it said "Instant Pot" in the story. Since I don't have one, I'm not aware of all of their models. I just thought I'd be nice and warn anyone who might own one before anything happened.

Thanks for bringing that up, thought, to clarify it for anyone with an Instant Pot product in their home.

Some of the comments I saw speculated the machine had been dropped before or after the current owner got it. Something about the metal casing looked “injured”, not so much burned.
