Like these aprons, a modified bibb with adjustable straps.

OH! I really like that style. The one piece with pockets. Looks pretty easy and fun to make. With pockets!!! Nice!!! Pix when you're done??!!

I can endorse aprons like these. I have two and couldn't cook without them. They're great.

I love the fact that they are so pretty and easy to make. I'd be afraid of getting them dirty. Kind of redundant?
