Question Roemertopf Problem

Hi,

I got a used Roemertopf cooker, and then discovered it stank to high heaven when I got it home. I'm not sure what the previous owner did to it, but s/he may have scoured it with soap, or not at all, or who knows what. Any tips on getting it clean? I've soaked it with baking sode for several days, but the problem is still there.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

joen

I would try cooking something relatively absorbent and inexpensive like potatoes in it. It might take a few times to get the odor out. Good Luck!!
