LOL @ Wart and pugger "I didn't say a word to Wife" comment.
I don't have that problem, but to afford Falk/Mauviel and Le Creuset I have not been eating out since the beginning of time LOL.
I read something enlightning in a Jacques Pepin book:
"Some people will spend a small fortune in a good restaurant without blinking an eye, but won't spend the same amount on a few pieces of equipment". So true.

LOL!

I'm the opposite, I don't think much past 'is it worth it' when buying equipment, and I choke when thinking about paying restaurant prices. ANY restaurant prices.
