I never even knew that cast iron cookware was partly made with sugar.

sugar in the pan?? i beleive goodweed meant sugar in the bacon. no?

We actually cook our spaghetti sauce in our cast iron skillet with no
ill effects. My newer Dutch oven loses its patina if we use it for it. Go figure.
