I have been looking for some new knives and most of the german brands are out of my price range, and the globals just don't feel good in my hands.. I like the feel of these Andre Verdier but can find little information on them other than they appear to be one of the true french Sabatier family brands.. (dating back to 1859 in Thiers)... see here - http://www.thefrenchhouse.net/?product=2147

BTW this is the knife I am looking at:

Has anyone heard much of these before?

I am bouncing between these or Furi (which in OZ are about the same price) or an even cheaper brand like Mundial (which a number of reviews I have read say are better metal than the Furi anyway?)..

My knives are all Sabatier, which I've owned for nearly 30 years. I recently replaced a chef's knife - but the rest are all still going strong.
