Boti- Bengali version of a knife

We use boti instead of knife.

Boti is more convinient than knife for us. You have to hold boti with your leg, so your both hands will remain free, that is why we can chop the vegetables uniformingly and in extremely tiny pieces.

We also descale the fishes with boti, we dont use knife.

It looked like a coconut grater to me too. I'd love to see how it is used to chop veggies and such. If you can post more photos, please do.
