Like most folks, if you show me something better, something that truly is better and devoid of hype, I'll usually sell myself.

Well, truth be told, watching everyone else have all the fun finally got to me.

I researched the gyuto I wanted, got a huge searing pain in my wallet, and decided to take the plunge.

Yikes, in a few days the little brown truck brings me my very own Hattori. Ahh, a knife so beautiful in its craftsmanship, weight, keenness and overall glory that I'm going to probably spend a three days finding the perfect chicken breast.

Well, heck, maybe Kobe. After all, I am an Hattori owner. But have no fear, I will write a detailed report, so have your questions at the ready.

AN HATTORI, DID MISS SOMETHING IN ENGLISH CLASS?:) SORRY BOUT THE CAPS MY KEY IS BROKEN AND IT'S STUCK W.B.

Grats! Hattori's are beautiful! I have one as well. Money well spent if I must say so myself!

Cool! Any pictures?

The searing pain in the wallet before buying a knife is often worse than the stabbing pain in the wallet after buying one.
