Are these Gherkins fit to use?

I had bought a bottle of pickled gherkins about 3 months back. I have kept it refrigerated since the time I opened it. Now I see that the vinegar it is preserved in has turned whitish. Is that normal?
 
Personally, I'd toss it.

I've kept jars of opened pickled products longer than 3 months & the vinegar never turned "whitish" or cloudy in any way & the product remained perfectly fine.

What you describe suggests bacteria.
