I've heard others mention that they pack multiple pieces of meat in an extra long FS bag. Then they cut off the top, remove a serving and reseal the same bag containing the remaining pieces.

Every thing I vacpak and freeze, both raw or cooked, is wrapped in film.. I remove items from the vac bags before defrosting..

Each used bag is washed with sudsy hot water and dried before reuse..

I suppose we all have little things which cause us concern.. Reusing vac bags is not one of mine..

I figured it was something along those lines. I do that when freezing meat in portions, but without the vacuum device.

I sometimes do that. I remove one item frozen, re-vacuum seal, and right back in the freezer. You do have to plan for it by having extra bag, since you lose about an inch each time you get something from the bag.
