Have a question about dried fruit.

Hello Everyone.

How do you make dried fruit? And how long does it stay good for after it is dried?

Get a dehydrator and follow the instructions. If you store it properly it will keep for a long time. Google sites about it.

Here is a good place to start your research - the National Center for Home Food Preservation section on drying foods, and how to package and store them.

Also, go to www.Drying123.com
and request a brochure. Very good.

I love dried fruits. Especially pears. Won't eat pears any other way. Growing up it was like candy.

I certainly prefer candy over dried fruit, but I like to eat healthy most of the time, so dried fruit it is most of the time.
