Storing Mushrooms

Cover mushrooms with a damp cloth or in a paper bag with holes poked in the cloth/bag for ventilation. This will keep them dry. Refrigerate for long life.

I have stored them for a very short time ( 1-2 days) in a brown paper bag, but never with a damp anything. I clean them with a barely damp cloth just before cooking.

Brown paper bag in the fridge. They can last a week if they started fresh.

I tried several times to store mushrooms but each time they got dark points and sweat. I think it has also something to do with where you are buying them from. When buying from the supermarket they where already either frozen or stored in some way which changes they way they will behave afterword.
