I was given some peach preserves in a centennial 1976 fruit jar. No label! They were bright and pretty through the glass. Knowing the person who gave them, I think they were put up in 1976.
Was asked to return the jar (???????). I don't remember having trouble getting the lid off or opening the seal. It did take a few hours to soak the prehistoric peaches loose so I could clean the jar.
Should I have written a thank you note?
