I did and it was very sucessful. i think i have pics of it here somewhere. I will post them in the gallery section one day. We had buritos, chili, salad, rice, drinks and desserts. Lots of children, of course, a live band and everything.. all under 1100$ and served close to 1000 people.

I have actually spent alot of time at your blog. When you first showed up at DC, i saw the link and checked it out. Thats how i found out you were LDS because the link to lds.org..

I outgrew hanging out with the guys all the time. Thats why i am at home. i moved out during high school for all three summers. So i dont need to repeat that again.

Yes i hate when girls whine that they are not married but yet all they want to do is hang out with a bunch of guys rather than single date or instead of calling it a single date, they say, "it was fun hangin out with you" I told my self that i will never use that word with a girl UNLESS im not interested in them. If i want to do something with a girl i say " lets do something together tonight" or " lets go OUT tonight"

Maybe im to much for them to handle.. ?? maybe im high maintance

oh well. i need to update my website with more food stuff.

Thanks! Pretty much no one reads my blog, I don't advertise it much. It's really just a place to record my thoughts. I wrote that one because I get annoyed with girls whining because they aren't married but they spend all their time with roommates. Hello?

Anyway, I forgot I was going to ask you if you've had that chili cook-off yet and how it went.

i totally agree with that blog. I have had girls reject me because i shocked them when i asked them out on a date. they first acted interested by flirting and talking and being impressed when i would cook for the whole institute class (30 people). I cooked as a gesture of appreciation to the sister that taught. they flirt then when you ask them out, they freak. It bugs me but i understand the fear they are going through. that has happened a few times. I prefer to find my wife on my own sorta speak. as in, getting lined up is tough because no one knows me well enough but God. BUT there are people i trust to line me up and maybe something will happen.

the whole "i had a blast lets do this again so call me, but when you call me and ask me out im gonna say im busy" LOL three strikes of them saying that and there out.. If she really wanted to go out, she would find time, NO ONE is that busy, and if they are, im sorry for the awful life they must have to not have time to do anything..

thanx for the advice, finally someone who agrees with me. Must come with age.. I dont think a 19 or 20 year old would understand this

well have fun and congrats for the sister in law. Denver is a nice place.

sorry for such a long message, i just really liked the info in your blog.

Go find the Holladay 29th ward. 1300 E. 4500 S. They actually just split into 4 different singles wards but they do Sunday school and activities together. It's an awesome place to meet people. You don't live in the boundaries but I'm sure you can go to the activities. They do weekly hikes in the summer and have all kinds of activities. Most of the people live Turnberry apartments. That's actually the address I gave you, I don't know the address of the church. Most of the members are between 23 and 30. And send this link to the ladies you meet and maybe dating will be more successful. ;-)

DH's sister is going to Denver, Colorado. She had to stay in the states because she has Celiac like my son does. She's excited though. She is currently living in Idaho but she leaves on Wed.

Isn't getting your schooling done a way of moving forward? Or is school on hold right now? What would you like to do, specifically, to move forward? Are you living with your parents right now or with roommates? Oh, and have a good weekend, I'm leaving this afternoon for my sister-in-law's mission farewell.

no dating at all. no one sparks my interest so why waste my time and her time if im not interested in her? last thing i need to do is lead a girl on and then break it off with her. thats not fun. I have had it happen to me and im not about to repeat the behavior i dotn like. LOL. I really dont know how its all going to play out but ill figure it out.

yeah my schedule is pretty crazy. I really want to start calming down and moving forward with my life rathe than what im doing now.

Be prepared to lose a lot of sleep then! Although with your current schedule I bet you don't get much sleep anyway. How's the dating life going these days?

I work all day every day--with my kids. I used to teach kindergarten but quit when we moved to Logan because I had a baby 3 weeks later. Being a mom is awesome!
