africhef, I'm so sorry that everything seems really down now...........your son is at the age where his emotions are going to be conflicted and in flux anyway and then to stir in the memories of such tragic events must really hurt and cause lots of rage and anger......if he hasn't already I would highly recommend grief counseling for him if it's possible and for y'all to hang in there and just keep the lines of communication open and just talk and talk and talk.........keep him busy, too........he might even help out at one of the habitats for humanity.....it was great therapy for my daughter......don't know what the age limit is but she was 16 at the time and did it on Saturdays......I'm praying that all works out for your family.........
